Bank accounts

By managing your bank accounts online you can transfer money between accounts, pay your bills and view your recent transactions and current balance.

For information on how to manage your accounts online, see the Registration, viewing accounts and updating your details and Moving money/ paying bills sections.

Viewing your current arranged overdraft limit
If you already have an arranged overdraft on your current account, your current overdraft limit will be shown at the top of your 'Recent transactions' page.

Applying for a new overdraft and increasing an existing overdraft limit
To increase your current overdraft limit or to request a new overdraft, from ‘My accounts’ simply select ‘Apply/increase overdraft’ from the drop down menu.  Alternatively, choose ‘Apply/increase overdraft’ from the left of your ‘Recent transactions’ page.  Enter the amount of overdraft you’d like in the ‘Overdraft you require’ box, then click the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the page.

If your request is accepted, your new overdraft limit will be available immediately.

If your overdraft request exceeds the amount available to you, a message will appear advising you of your pre-approved guaranteed limit. You can choose to select the maximum pre-approved guaranteed limit or a lower amount and your new overdraft limit will then be immediately available.  To request an overdraft amount higher than the guaranteed limit displayed, you’ll need to visit your local branch.

If you would like to reduce your existing overdraft limit, please call us on 08457 21 31 41 (24 hours) or alternatively, visit your local branch.

If you have already had an overdraft request declined by us within the last 30 days, please do not re-apply.
