Signing in for the first time
Once you've received your temporary password you'll be ready to start using online banking. Follow the simple steps below to get started:
Step 1 – Enter your username and password
- Go to www.bankofscotlandhalifax.co.uk
- Click the 'Sign in' button at the top right hand side of the screen
- Type in your username and temporary password (leave the third box empty)
- Click 'Sign in'
Step 2 – Choose a new password
- Once you've signed in, you'll need to choose a password that is memorable and personal to you
Step 3 – Set up security questions
- Next you'll need to provide answers to a few security questions and think of an additional question and answer of your own
Step 4 – Online service conditions
- The last thing you need to do is read and accept the online service conditions
- Read the online service conditions and then click 'Accept'
You are now ready to use online banking!
