What can I do online?
By choosing to manage your accounts online, you have the convenience of being able to carry out most of your banking needs quickly and safely when it suits you, from the comfort of your home, work, or wherever you have access to the internet.
If you're already registered for our online service but haven't yet added your bank account, credit card, savings account or ISA to your 'My accounts' page, our online help page shows you how to add your accounts.
Here's what you can do when you choose to manage your accounts online……..
Online services for your bank account:
• View your current and available balances
• View your statements online if you register for Paper-free
• View your recent transactions
• Pay your bills
• Transfer money to external accounts and set up standing orders
• Transfer money between your banking and savings accounts*
• Transfer money overseas and request foreign drafts
• Request a new overdraft, or request a new limit for an existing overdraft
• View or cancel any Direct Debits set up on your account
• Order Travel money – collect it from your local branch, or for a small fee, you can have it delivered to your door
• Go Paper-free and choose to receive your statements and letters online rather than by post, and archive them for up to 2 years.
Online services for your credit card:
• View your last statement and balance
• View any recent transactions – these will appear on your next statement
• Pay your monthly credit card statement online
• Request a new credit card limit (subject to status) – if accepted, in most cases this will be available to use straight away
• Transfer balances from other credit or store cards
• Apply to set up additional cardholders – ideal if you want to give your son or daughter a card for emergency use whilst on holiday or at university
• Pay your credit card statement automatically each month by Direct Debit – choose to pay either the minimum or full amount each month. Particularly useful if your bill payment is due whilst you're away on holiday
• Request a PIN reminder – if you forget your PIN, this new service allows you to request a PIN reminder by post for yourself and any additional cardholders
• Go Paper-free and choose to receive your card statements (including any Notice of Default Sums), and changes to account conditions online rather than by post, and archive them for up to 2 years
Online services for your savings account:
For selected* savings accounts, you can
• View your most recent statement and current balance
• View your previous statements if you register for Paper-free
• Transfer money to external accounts and set up standing orders
• Transfer money between your savings and banking accounts*
• Go Paper-free and choose to receive your statements and letters online rather than by post, and archive them for up to 2 years.
*Subject to account conditions. View Paper-free eligible savings accounts.
Online services for your ISA Plan:
• Top up with a lump sum payment
• Set up or amend a regular payment
• View your transaction history
• View the value of your investment
To help keep track of your finances you can also:
• View the balance of any Bank of Scotland unsecured personal loan**
• Buy and sell shares with our Share Dealing service
• View your Mortgage account details
** Only loans with roll numbers starting 7/ can be viewed online
