AER stands for annual equivalent rate. It shows what the interest rate would be if it was paid on the whole balance once a year. We work out interest every day and pay it once a month. Whether you can get a bank account and the services we offer depends on your circumstances and our conditions.
You can only get an overdraft if you are 18 or over, you live in the UK, and you meet our requirements. You must pay off any overdraft when we tell you to.
Different terms apply to customers who do not qualify for our student account. All fees and rates are variable, which means they can change.
You must be at least 18 to open a Bank of Scotland Student Current Account and you must either be a student in full-time education (a degree course or similar course of higher education) or have stopped being a student in full-time education in the last 12 months.
