Telephone

When you call our 24-hour telephone banking service on 08457 21 31 41, you can:

  • check your balance
  • listen to the details of recent transactions
  • pay bills
  • transfer money to other accounts or organisations
  • set up or change standing orders
  • cancel direct debits
  • apply for an overdraft (except on Cardcash, Easycash and Expresscash accounts)
  • request a new PIN
  • get information on other Bank of Scotland products and services.

Paying bills and transferring money

Our service uses voice recognition technology to recognise and respond to what you say - it's just like talking to a real person.  You'll find it faster and easier to tell us what you want to do when you:

  • pay your bills
  • move money between your accounts with us
  • transfer money elsewhere.

For example, if you want to pay a gas bill, then you would say 'Pay my gas bill' - it's as simple as that!

You can still use your keypad to enter certain sensitive information - and you can make more than one transaction so you don't need to call again.

Bank of Scotland current accounts and services are offered subject to status. Overdrafts are repayable on demand.

How can I start using telephone banking?

To start using the service, just call 08457 21 31 41. If you have an Easycash account, you will need to call 08458 50 55 25. Telephone banking is not currently available to Expresscash customers.

Thinking about switching? It's easy.

If you already have a current account with us, but currently bank elsewhere, fill in our simple switching form and we'll do the rest!

If you don't bank with us don’t worry. Just apply for either the Reward Current Account or Ultimate Reward Current Account and complete the ‘switching details’ in the application form.
