Funds and Portfolios available through the Halifax ISA-Investor

Choose from a range of investment funds and portfolios that aim to produce either capital growth or an income. The fund(s) or portfolio(s) you choose to invest in should match your attitude to risk. We have provided some tips to help you.

 Choosing a portfolio
  • Each portfolio consists of a number of funds with different risk levels and weighting, which combine to give you a balance of investments.
  • Below you will find a fact sheet and information on risk and return for each portfolio. The funds that make up these portfolios are OEIC funds. OEIC stands for Open-Ended Investment Company and is a type of collective investment. Please see the glossary for a more detailed definition.

 Choosing a fund
  • Alternatively, you can split your investment among the available OEIC funds in our fund range

A brief explanation of portfolio fact sheets and the risk/return relationship:

 ISA Portfolios
Portfolio 2 - Cautious/Medium [PDF]
A balance of investments, including Corporate Bonds and actively managed share investments, that offers some security with the potential for long term growth.  The value can go up and down and you may get back less than you originally invested.

Portfolio 3 - Medium [PDF]
A balanced mix that offers a wide spread of UK investments, including fixed interest and actively managed growth and income producing funds, and some overseas shares, with potential for long-term growth.  The value can go up and down and you may get back less that you originally invested.

Portfolio 4 - Medium/Adventurous [PDF]
A balance of fixed interest securities and actively managed growth and income producing funds, including some overseas and specialist shares, with the potential for long-term growth.  The value can go up and down potentially by greater amounts than the funds in the medium category and you may get back less than you originally invested.

Portfolio 5 - Adventurous Post [PDF]
A mix of actively managed growth and income producing funds, a significant proportion being allocated to overseas and specialist shares with a corresponding higher degree of risk, aiming to maximise potential returns.  The ups and downs will potentially be more severe and frequent than the approaches described above.  Again, you may get back less than originally invested.
