Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP)
Feel prepared for the future with a Bank of Scotland Share Dealing Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). Our SIPP allows you to take control of your own pension investment using our low cost dealing facility.
Our tax efficient pension plan allows you to invest in a wide range of investments including stocks and shares from UK markets, unit trusts, open ended investment companies (OEICS) and many more.
You make your own investment decisions by setting up your personal investment plan and choosing how much to invest, how often and most importantly which investments to make.
Your SIPP account is free to set up and allows you to enjoy all of the tax efficient benefits of a traditional pension. You must keep in mind, however, that the value of investments can go down as well as up and you may not get back all you invested.

- Tax relief is available on your own contributions to your SIPP at the highest tax rate you pay.
- 25% of your pension fund can be taken as a tax-free lump sum from the age of 50 (55 from April 2010). Income tax (not National Insurance contributions) is paid on the remaining pension income you receive from your fund.
